Electro–organic synthesis is an ecologically benign and cost-effective technique. Among other purposes it can be used to produce a broad spectrum of biofuels for aviation applications. Metallic electrocatalyst materials employed at the electrodes electro–organic enable conversion biomass derived furfural compounds various furanic biofuels. Each metallic catalyst material has its own inherent characteristics generating specific amounts fine chemicals fuel components. By large, produced using are favored explicitly under acidic or mildly electrolytes. Therefore, intriguing understand nature different that compatible with Herein, focus will on recent progress in field fuels conditions. This review provides overview electrocatalytic conversion, fundamentals, reaction pathways observed during importance materials. Subsequently, role noble non–noble catalysts transformation environment discussed.
